Traditional schools often focus on memorizing facts and taking tests, which can make it hard for kids to think creatively and come up with new ideas.

Teach for mastery, not test scores. Sal Khan's message is that instead of rushing to finish lessons and taking tests, we should focus on truly understanding the material. We should keep practicing and learning until we're experts in the subject.
